NIPOMO, CA – Lynn Compton’s campaign for re-election as 4th District Supervisor announced it has received the endorsement of the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters Local 1800.
The Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters today announced their support for the re-election of Lynn Compton to the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors. In announcing their support, Mercy Urrea, Lead Representative of the Southwest Carpenter for San Luis Obispo County and the Gold Coast, stated:
“Lynn Compton will fight for working families in San Luis Obispo County. Four years ago we supported Lynn because she promised to fight to help create jobs and welcome responsible businesses to this area. Working with her colleagues and the private sector she has delivered on her promise.
During the next four years Lynn has committed to make sure that young people in San Luis Obispo County will have improved access to skilled apprenticeships and workforce training programs in partnership with our schools and community colleges. Lynn wants to make sure our young people can find good paying jobs in the construction and business fields so they can live and work right here at home. We know Lynn Compton will fight for us. We’re happy to support her.”
The Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters represents over 50,000 hardworking men and women in over six different states, including California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and Colorado. They are committed to safety and raising area standards for all carpenters.
“Working class families are the backbone of our local economy,” said Lynn Compton. “We need to protect these families so that our economy can continue to grow. I’m honored to have received this endorsement, and I’ll continue to keep working for the people of the 4th District.”
The Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters joins a growing list of community leaders, business organizations, taxpayer advocates and public safety personnel who have endorsed Lynn Compton’s campaign for re-election.###
